Mobyko
The safest place online to store, manage and share mobile content
Mobyko is a device and network-independent service. It uses the mobile network to save names and numbers to a personal online address book, with no need for cables or downloads. Mobyko also stores texts, photos and videos enabling remote access from any web browser, any time.
The web-based consumer service is free and simple-to-use, employing sophisticated new technology. So, in the event of a handset being lost, stolen, broken or just replaced, the Mobyko service is used to restore this valued content.
Phone numbers and contact details are securely synchronised with Mobyko and transferred to a handset using SyncML technology, which is embedded in mobile phones, without the need to download or install additional software. Users can upgrade to the paid-for service, Mobyko Premium, which offers extra storage capacity and enhanced text and download services. They can also add Outlook contacts to their personal address book and manage them online.
The service is compatible with over 400 phones and will work in most areas of the world on mobile networks that provide internet access. Mobyko’s simple set-up procedure currently caters for networks in the UK, Australia, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa and Sweden. Founded in 2006, Mobyko is based in London with development offices in Cambridge.
Eden's 2007 investment in Mobyko’s A round is working to develop the online service further while raising consumer awareness of the brand.
